A very happy Easter One and All
I found this pic on FB this morning - I can't believe someone tied all those eggs to a tree - a real labour of love if ever I saw one - so who ever took this pic - I hope you have a very Happy Easter :) xx
A very quick post today as I am on the hunt for a new-to-me car since my old jalopy has died a tragic death in a Haven holiday park car park on Friday!! :) The fuel pump has packed up which means it needs even more money spending on it and sadly it's just not worth it. It has served me very well for the last 10 years and I will miss it a lot.
At the moment I have this piece of gorgeousness outside my house. But it is only a hire car so it has to go back to Enterprise on Tuesday :(
I just want to show my page for UKS this week's challenge
Nick on his 8th birthday (he was 20 two weeks ago!!!)
He was so cute then :D
I have been putting off scrapping this photo because I didn't like all the clutter on the table and DS1's back view and the friend in the background!! but I needed a photo to go with primary colours (one of the challenge elements) and this one fitted the criteria.
So here it is - done!! :D
I am very 'into' banners and stars at the moment and I LOVE my washi tape. I also had a stash delivery on Thursday which included a lovely Amy Tangerine stamp set, so I managed to sneak in a bit of stamping too :)

WOYWW #199
Hello and it's 'What's on your workdesk Wednesday' again.
This week my desk (aka the kitchen table!) has another scrapbook page. This time it is from the kit from my Scrap Angels crop night. On Monday night I worked a night shift at the nursing home, came home and watched TV for a bit then went to bed around 10 am (sorry, boring bit but you need to know it!) and set the alarm for 3.15 pm. Thinking that this would give me plenty of time to have a shower, get my bag ready and get to the crop. Well...I woke at 6.55pm ... and the crop is at 7! LOL I must have turned the alarm off and gone back to sleep!
Needless to say I was a little bit late but then, as all that know me know, that is not unusual anyway :D
The layout needed a photo because I hadn't had time to sort one out and I can never remember the colour scheme from the month before. And today I have added the journalling today too.
Here is a close up of the page
Today I am rather sad too because my car seems to have died in the car park up the road - I had gone for an interview for a cleaning job and when I came out the car wouldn't start.

Creative Craft World Scrap Map Challenge
Today I am posting my layout completed for the Creative Craft World scrap map challenge for March.
I did the page while I was on our recent Bijoux Belles retreat - did I mention that I had been retreating??! We had such an amazing time - scrapping, chatting, eating chocolate and cakes and drinking wine :)
Anyway...
Here is the sketch
and here is my page
The photos are of Nick at The Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence, Kansas. I was visiting for Thanksgiving last November and we had gone in to see James, who was working on the front desk, before heading out for a spot of lunch. In their reception area was this GORGEOUS Xmas tree ~ so I said to Nick "quick go and stand by that so I can take a photo". Needless to say he was rather reluctant but, as evidenced by the photo, he did go and I did get a photo (or two!!)
The papers I used are Carta Bella "Christmas Day"

WOYWW 198 - A bit late !!
Wow these Wednesdays come round quickly!! Sorry I did not post yesterday - I took the lappie to work with the intention of dashing off a quick post...then I left the memory card in the camera and then left that at home - so no photo to blog about. My excuse is that my lift arrived early and said 'shall we stop at McD's on the way to work!?' I couldn't deny her, could I ???
Desk is a bit of a mess as I worked Tuesday night then went to meet a friend for some scrappin' time at ScrapAngels at lunch time on Wednesday!
Anyway! ...On my desk today is a card I made for a dear friend whose husband had been in the nursing home where I work for about 5 years. He had Parkinson's disease and was very poorly. Sadly he passed away recently and his wife very generously gave all the staff a cheque.
So here is a Thank You card I made for her.
The idea for the card came from my UKS friend Susi, whose blog can be found here :)
There is also the start of a layout in the top LH corner
Sorry for the brief post but I hope you all have a great WOYWW xx

Scrap 365 sketch challenge
Today I have finished my page for the Scrap 365 sketch challenge.
This is the sketch
and here is my interpretation
The boys took me to 'martini night' at The Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence, Kansas. This photo is William 'enjoying??!!' his martini LOL
There were lots of youngsters there (and a few 'oldies') - it was lovely to see them all having fun. There was a great atmosphere and it was nice to be able to spend a night out with my gorgeous boys.
I have used Bo Bunny Mama-razzi 2 papers. The colours and designs are even more fabulous than the first IMO. Also had a chance to use some misting and splattering, lots of layers and tags :-D

Happy Mother's Day One and All
Well I have wished myself a Happy Mother's Day !!
Sadly, because my sons live in the States I do not tend to get a Mother's Day message unless I send it to myself!! Their Mother's Day is different over their or so they keep telling me! The girls at the Whitehouse (the pub where I used to waitress) sent me one one year and had signed it from my boys! It was a lovely thought :)
So today I thought I would share a page of my album done for a sketch challenge on a 'new-to-me' blog called 'Stuck?!'
This is the sketch

The 'Stuck?!' design team have some stunning inspiration - well worth having a look :)

A little Retreat - with wine, chocolate and friends
I have just returned from a fabulous week away in Buckinghamshire with my loveliest of lovely friends, the Bijoux Belles from UK Scrappers.
We stayed in our usual house ~quirky is an understatement !! ~ and scrapped our little hearts out. Some stunning layouts and projects were produced amidst the chocolate eating, wine sipping and hilarious game playing :D
with spring flowers in abundance :)
A good time was had by all (I think!)
Now we are all suffering from POD (Post Olney Depression)!!
Roll on March 2014...

WOYWW 196
Hello,
I don't usually take part in this blog hop due to time constraints but I have followed a few friends posts and as 2 of them are blogging next to me while we are "retreating" I thought I would share mine too.
On the right you might notice a small glass of white wine (the only time I drink and scrap at the same time is when we are retreating :o). Well, I have to keep my friend Maria company - she lives in France and doesn't like to drink alone!!!
Maria thought my LO needed "improving" and added a piece of bright orange paper with torn edges !
~ this was payback for a small piece of punched kraft that I had 'added' to her LO last night after she had gone to bed !! She hates anything to do with kraft BTW :D
If anyone is wondering why I am writing about this pop over to Julia's blog to read more about 'What's on your workdesk? Wednesday'
Happy Wednesday everybody xx

WOYWW = What's on your workdesk? Wednesday for those who are not familiar with Julia's concept.
So here goes. This is my little piece of the kitchen table we are scrapping on. On the left is my netbook for catching up on all the 'goss' (I have just shared a FB post which had us all LOHO) and checking out inspiration/ideas. In the middle is my work-in-progress - a LO of my son waiting for his fajitas in Chilli's, using Simple Stories and some blown misting ink, which was great fun and I did like the end result :)On the right you might notice a small glass of white wine (the only time I drink and scrap at the same time is when we are retreating :o). UKS weekly challenge Feb wk 3
I have finally got round to uploading the page I did for last week's challenge set by the Rik Rak Ravers
The challenge was to 1) use this sketch
2) to scrap about someone, something or somewhere you love
and 3) to use either red or hearts or both
and (of course) to use some rikrak
Here is my result...

These are my 2 best friends while on holiday in Turkey last year, drinking cocktails in our favorite bar.
(both someone and somewhere I love!)
I layered the sketch a bit using banners and embellishments :)
Hope you like it :D
