Creative Craft World - Scrap Map challenge 25 June

I love the theme of this week's challenge - it is so nice to see where all my friend's do their crafting!!
Here is my page

The pictures are of my craft (kitchen) table, my pine dresser where I keep all my bits and bobs and of course the view from my window :-D

I used plain blue cardstock for the background which I inked with 'faded denim' distress ink and then dabbed over the top with 'pool', 'sailboat blue' and 'copper' alcohol inks.

I then matted the photos onto TH coredinations cardstock which I tore to reveal the light blue 'core' and added a piece of Fancy Pants 'Like father like son' PP. The punched flowers are coloured with alcohol inks the 2 blues, as above, but also with some 'caramel' too. The brads in the centres of the flowers were a pressie from my Bijoux Belles friend, as is the 'orange' glitter on the little stamped flowers. Finally I added a couple of ring-pulls as I haven't put any on the last couple of LOs.

CCW Scrap Map Challenge - 11th June

Here is my page for this week's Creative Craft World Saturday Scrap Map Challenge.

The theme for this week's LO is 'Travel'.

My page shows Isambard Kingdom Brunel's rail bridge over the River Tamar between Plymouth and Saltash - opened in 1859. The road bridge (behind ) was opened in 1961 (50 years ago!) and for a while was one of the longest suspension bridges in the country. Before that the only way to get across the river was by boat!

I took these photos from the train (hence the slight haziness) when I was travelling to Gatwick Airport on route for America for Will and Nick's birthdays. The train journey took ages as it was a Sunday and the rail companies were doing 'essential maintenance'; they kept diverting us onto single tracks and then we had to wait for trains coming in the other direction to pass!! Luckily I was not flying till the next morning but I did have to change my dinner reservation :D

I spritzed with silver Cosmic Shimmer, stamped a few dotty circles and made some photo corners from a foil pie case which I coloured with alcohol inks.

Creative Craft World's Challenge blog is here  - have a go :)

Scrap FIT Page - Workout around the house!

When blog hopping the other day I came across this blog...this week's challenge was to use items from around the house to help create your LO (either directly or as an aid). So I thought I would give it a go and this is what I came up with..
I used one of my DSs lego bricks to print the back ground photo mat. The cogs and the flowers were cut from an aluminium pie case..

For this embellishment I backed the flower with corrugated card that I had coloured with yellow ink. The flower itself has been coloured with red and yellow alcohol inks. And a sparkly gem added to the centre.
I love the way the cogs turned out     :)   :)
I used red, yellow and blue alcohol inks on these.

This is the detail of the flowers on the bottom left of the LO.

The one on the left is coloured with red and yellow and the one on the right with 2 different blues. I also coloured the brads to match them.

And of course the LO wouldn't be complete without my ring-pulls !!

Today they are coloured with red and yellow :)

Nick got there !!!!!!!!!

Here is my youngest son's graduation fcrom High School in America, where he lives :)
In the picture are (L - R ) William (brother), James (brother) Nick, Della (Step-grandma) Jeremy (dad)

It was a bit 'touch and go' earlier this year as Nick was not handing work in and not getting the grades he needed !! :(
BUT .. he pulled it out of the bag at the last minute (" see, I told you, mum, it would be OK!!")  Typical boy !!!!!!!!!!!
As you can see .. William dressed up for the occasion !! (Obviously gets his dress sense from his father )

Inner Wheel Friends

I thought it would be nice to scrap my friends from Inner Wheel. This was our 'birthday' dinner at the golf club in May. I was one of the founder members of Perranzabuloe Inner Wheel and although we have seen some members come and go (sadly Dawn and Kay both lost their fight to cancer and dear Amy had a stroke) there are still several of us who were there at the start.

In the photo are (L - R) Sue Sturley, Rosemary, Barabara's friend Sue, Gillian, ME, Vanessa, Barbara March, Mary and Sheila
xx

The paper I used is We R Memory Keepers White Out collection. I cut the floral spray from one of the papers then made the embelly (bottom R) based on lollipop flower design!

CCW Scrap Map Challenge - 4th June

This is my fourth and final Scrap Map challenge as their guest designer - I have thoroughly enjoyed the last few weeks but realised how much harder it is to create a page without any examples for inspiration and guidance !!!!

I loved doing this page as I was able to mess about (literally) with my new alcohol inks and it seemed to go so well with the LO I created - well I think, anyway !! :D

My beloved ring-pulls have now been inked !!

Plus I found this lovely mesh-stuff at a local store which was white but I have coloured it with the inks - I used 'pesto' and copper mixative.

Not sure what happened to the 3rd point of the star in the top left, though, it seems to have got lost in the sticking-down stage!!!   :) :)
